It's been a fun couple of days! With only 2 weeks left until she returns home to Colorado, my BFF Joy and I finally got to hook up and do some scrappin' together. She's been here since the end of February, enjoying our fabulous weather, spending time with her daughter, and having a blast with her grandson Tyler. But, with birthdays, taxes, dance and gym classes, Mammy Day's and Granny Day's and heaven knows what else, the timing has been terrible and we just haven't had an opportunity to spend much quality time together. But, the moon finally aligned with the stars and it all came together this week!
We've been catching up, sharing snacks along with some scrappin' tips and tricks, rockin' out to Flight 26 on the XM dial, critiquing EVERYTHING under the sun, and solving the world's problems ... all without 1 glass of wine between us! Unbelieveable, I know! hehehehe
While she was shopping the Vendor Faire last Friday at the CK Convention she discovered this darling Flip Flops Mini Album by Quick Quotes in Michelle's booth. It's an adorable mini album sandwiched between 2 flip flops, decorated for the front and back cover! She was sure it would be the perfect project to give to her California side of the family who were here a couple of weeks ago, visiting Joy and her dh, Roland, to help them remember their week of fun in the AZ sun!
And, while Joy was working on her project, I was busy trying to create some layouts worthy enough to be featured in the SO May newsletter. I got my kit last week and worked on a mini-album project over the weekend. So, all that's left is my required layouts ... and spending this scrapping time with Joy was not only a blast, but I'm getting some 'work' done, too!
Now you know the rule is I can't 'reveal' any finished work until Miss Priss releases the newsletter to the members ... but, there's nothing that says I can't give you a sneak peek here on my blog. This month's kit included this awesome 'My Word' chipboard mini album. And, the word Happy was right up my alley! Well, you might know that my finished book is chunky, textur-y, and full of favorite family photos and ribbons and buttons and lots of dotty circles! I can't wait to be able to share it with you!
My first class at i-Scrap AZ is this Sunday. I'm sooo excited to be teaching again. And, I'm thrilled to be able to share some fun new techniques while using a Becky Fleck Page Maps sketch to create 3 really fun pages! Rumor has it that the class is filling up fast ... and I hear that a few of my 'peeps' will also be in attendance ... showing their love and support! Woo Hoo, you guys!! Love You! I'm going up today to start kitting all the supplies we'll need for a rockin' good time!
Thanks to all you fabulous ladies who have posted here! I'll give a shout out later in the week! But, you've got to KNOW that I love that you stop by for a visit, and take the time to leave your funny and inspiring comments! It's humbling .... and appreciated!! {{{smoochies}}}
Last week I gave RaKell season passes to Disneyland for her and her family for her birthday. That's where they are this week. I'm so hoping they are having a great time together and with that thought I'll leave you with one of my favorite Disney pages.

O M G, look at you and your BFF scrapping in your fabulous room!!!!!!!!!!!! Gorgeous sneak peaks!! I feel lucky to have seen it all, "all", wish I could see it in person!!!!
