I rarely place things on an angle on my pages. I look at them and feel like the corner has dropped and needs to be propped up again ... much like a piece of art that's been dusted just enough to knock it off plumb. So, the angled photo mat for the large circle photo kinda threw me. But, I loved the concept of the circle photos ... and they created a nice little visual triangle ... well, I thought I'd give it a try.
Well, since the square thing had to be on an angle I thought I'd make it something more than just a square of paper. So, I cut an 8x8 chipboard frame and covered it with paper. Text was stamped onto a narrow Technique Tuesday chipboard square and then adhered to the face of the 8x8 frame. Well, it looked like a window to me, so a square of Hambly grid transparency was place behind the chipboard and then the whole thing was layered on my page using some pop-up tape. From there, I layered some paper and ribbon scraps then my circle photos, suggested in the sketch. Loved that.
The whole page was finished off by adding some journaling and a bunch of stuff ... :D
It was nice to be able to hang out in my jammies all day ... in my scraproom ... with House re-runs on my flatscreen. And, as always, it's fun to try new things and experiment with different looks and techniques! Speaking of Techniques ... if you're looking for a kick in YOUR scrapping mojo ... head on over to The Challenge Masters Blog then follow the links to their challenge boards.
