Okay. Here's your choice ... scrap or blog? Bbwwwahahaha! Guess what I picked? Okay, okay. I know. I've neglected my blog lately ... but, it's just so hard to give up good scrapping time for typing!
Still playing along in the Project Scrapbook Challenge over at Challenge Masters. Round 2 was called 'Dig In'.
Food plays a huge part of our lives, even at gatherings people tend to gravitate towards the kitchen. Scrapbooks are a great place to celebrate those gatherings, however the little times away from Christmas, Thanksgiving and parties tend to get neglected. Remember, ever day life is just as special as the big moments! Take a moment to appreciate the day to day and the great food memories. A special meal you make for someone. The Funny word your kid/grandkid uses for "Spaghetti". Even a funny food story or a trip out for ice cream.

I'm not creating my best or favorite pages for this challenge ... but I'm having so much fun thinking outside the box ... OTB .... and I'm enjoying the challenge of trying to pull it all together! This one even required me to COOK!! I went to the grocery store to gather up the ingredients needed to make Helen's Shrimp Salad. Then I took pictures while I chopped and mixed and boiled ... not sure how or what I was going to do .. but wanted to have enough material to work with.
I 'fudged' a little bit and purchased a brand of pasta only because of the colors of the packaging! But, since my page would be limited to the colors on my package ... and I AM a color kinda gal .. well, this was the best of what was on the shelf.
I dug out my old stamps and found this cute little knife, fork and spoon stamp. ???? Don't ask. I think it was a freebie from CKC days gone by. Anyway, I stamped and embossed the utensils along the edge to reinforce my theme. Here's my point breakdown and a couple more details:
And the best thing about this round of Project Scrapbook .... I had LUNCH when I was finished!! hehehehe A quick thanks to my peeps who voted for Jing Jing's video tutorial over at Helmar Adhesives! It was close but she WON! Well deserved congrats to her ... and to you guys who helped the cause! And ... huge congratulations to my eldest granddaughter, Tori! She competed in her very first Skills Competition at Polar Ice on Saturday and she won her division and received a beautiful GOLD MEDAL for her effort! She's really come a long way since she got her first pair of ice skates for Christmas a year and a half ago. The whole family was there to cheer her on. And, I must confess ... tears filled my eyes as she took the ice and began her routine. I just couldn't have been more proud of her. And, finally ... if you get a chance you've got to check out this short video that Brandon sent yesterday. Can't believe how fast Kalena is growing .. her all important first birthday is just around the corner. It's wonderful to know that she has some 'Brown' genes in there somewhere ... the music, the rhythm ... gettin' down with the tunes ... so stinkin cute! It's Tricky 12 x 12 - 20 Pts
